According to the Intercensal Survey 2015 of INEGI Baja California has 3,315,766 inhabitants, of which 50.2% are women and 49.8% men; occupying the 14th place among the most populated states.
However, during this period, Playas de Rosarito and Ensenada recorded accelerated average annual growth rates, with 1.50% and 1.10%, respectively; and to continue with that rhythm, in 2062 and 2079, respectively, they would be doubling their population.
